Training sessions to return under special circumstances
Schröder: “The hygiene and behavioural regulations laid out by the authorities have been 100% followed by the team and by the employees of the team.”
On Tuesday afternoon the Mainz 05 players will return to the Bruchwegstadion from their homes for training, albeit under strict restrictions that have been worked out with the health authorities in the state of the Rhineland-Palatinate as well as the city of Mainz.
To this end, small training groups will train together in different parts of the pitch. In order to keep the recommended distance between people as normal, all available changing rooms have been made available for the players at the training center, and after training they will shower at their houses. The normal measures continue to apply when outside of training – stay at home, keep your distance, and limit contact.
The training area as well as the Bruchwegstadion are to remain closed to the public indefinitely, and will only be accessible to those involved in the training sessions.
Zerofivers‘ sporting director Rouven Schröder spoke about the official permission for these training sessions at the Bruchwegstadion: “We have received a positive signal, and are still working closely with the interior ministry of the Rhineland-Palatinate and the health authorities of the city of Mainz, in order to comply with all the necessary requirements and procedures and to ensure a smooth transition from training at home to back to training at the Bruchwegstadion. The hygiene and behavioural regulations laid out by the authorities have been 100% followed by the team and by the employees of the team”.
