St. Juste & and Boëtius trained without issue
After their return from Spain, the Zerofivers now turn their attention to Freiburg.
The Zerofivers completed a 90-minute-long training session back in Mainz today (Tuesday) as Achim Beierlorzer’s team step up their preparations for the first game of the Rückrunde, against SC Freiburg on Saturday afternoon (15:00 CET) in the OPEL ARENA.
Ahead of the duel with the Breisgau club, Beierlorzer had the opportunity to put the players through their paces with some tricky drills. After having had Monday off after returning from the training camp in Estepona, Jeremiah St. Juste and Jean-Paul Boëtius (who both missed the friendly against Dortmund) returned to training and took part in the full session. Danny Latza and Stefan Bell both need a little more time to recover from their respective niggles, and Edimilson Fernandes will undergo an operation in Munich on Monday. Apart from these three, all remaining FSV players are available for selection for Saturday’s match.
There will be three more sessions throughout the week, in which the players will be hoping to stake their claim on a place in the starting XI.
